The surge causes physical sensations that increase dramatically as the attack progresses. It is fuelled by a sudden release of adrenalin into the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-therapy-for-anxiety wp-block-embed-therapy-for-anxiety\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/therapyforanxiety.org\/a-person-having-their-first-panic-attack-from-anxiety\/\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><a href=\"https:\/\/therapyforanxiety.org\/a-person-having-their-first-panic-attack-from-anxiety\/\">A person having their first panic attack from Anxiety<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br>They vary from person to person but doctors use the following list \u2013 if you experience four or more of these sensations in the space of a few seconds then you are probably having a panic attack:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>shortness of breath<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a choking sensation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>rapid or irregular heartbeat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>chest pains<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>tension in muscles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>trembling or shaking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>numbness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>intense sweating<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>dizziness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>nausea<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>urgent need to go to the toilet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After the attack, you are left with feelings of exhaustion, shakiness and bewilderment.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For many people, panic attacks are the foundation that their Anxiety disorder is built on. For them, life becomes a question of doing anything to avoid another panic attack<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\" title=\"\">.<\/a> And yet other Anxiety sufferers have never experienced a panic attack, and never will.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Panic attacks from Anxiety.
