Other words such as feeling \u2018apprehensive\u2019, \u2018uncertain\u2019, \u2018nervous\u2019 and \u2018on edge\u2019 also provide a<br>good description of feelings linked to anxiety.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anxiety is completely normal and something that all human beings experience from time to time, when<br>faced with situations that are difficult or threatening.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The word \u2018anxiety\u2019 is often used to cover a broad range of experiences and is linked with emotions<br>such as fear and worry. In fact, \u2018fear\u2019 and \u2018anxiety\u2019 are almost interchangeable terms.<br>Anxiety itself can be a helpful emotion, as it can help you to prepare for events ahead as well as improving your performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-therapy-for-anxiety wp-block-embed-therapy-for-anxiety\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/therapyforanxiety.org\/depression-with-anxiety\/\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><a href=\"https:\/\/therapyforanxiety.org\/depression-with-anxiety\/\">Depression with Anxiety<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>However, anxiety can become so severe and intense at times that it becomes debilitating and starts to restrict daily routine and life as a whole. In essence, at this point<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\" title=\"\">,<\/a> the anxiety experienced has got out of proportion and you end up feeling much more anxious than you would expect someone else to be in your circumstances.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this point, you can be said to be suffering from an anxiety disorder. There are many different anxiety<br>disorders (phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder &#8211; OCD &#8211; panic attacks, etc) that all have anxiety symptoms at their core.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is anxiety?
